European Mouflon

Originally from Greece, these are a short, small, attractive sheep with light or dark brown bodies and a white saddle over the hind ribs and flank. They have very short tails and ears, with heart shaped horns curving inward towards the jaw. Mouflon are the smallest of the sheep; with rams peaking at 90lbs. Trophy mouflon are 27 to 30 inches, with 30+ inch sheep being exceptional. Management rams are those that have horns that flare outward instead of inward, but are relatively rare. Mouflon are hunted from September through February.
